Projects: The Netanel Community | Back to projects >>

After Tani's death in 2002, six of his friends from the Masuot Scouts of Jerusalem set out for a year of community service in his name--continuing Tani's way of life. Located in Tiberias, Israel, the Netanel community was established by these graduates of the Scouts in 2002. These young men and women dedicated a year of community service in Tani's memory before their 3 years of army service.

The goal of this year of service was to develop young leadership through the establishment of a religious scouts’ troop in Tiberias. At the year's end in 2003, three age groups of scouts were successfully up and running.

The Goodman Family was asked to write their thoughts on the establishment of this community in Tiberias.
